Special podcast announcing Izzy’s new Moon Tree children’s book co-created with her sister, Miss Dee Dassen!

We are thrilled to introduce our new children’s book: Izzy and Dee – The Moon Trees! She is my guest on this special episode. Hear about how we grew up to be creative and inspired to impact the world!

Inspired by the real-life seeds taken to the Moon on the Apollo 14 mission, The Moon Trees is a magical story that blends imagination, science, and adventure to inspire the next generation of space explorers and engineers.

Meet Izzy and Dee – two curious girls with purple and pink hair who travel through time and space learning about Moon Trees, the species they belong to, and the magic of STEM—all without needing to know math and science first. Just curiosity and imagination.

Alongside the book is the Moon Tree Passport Companion Guide, filled with interactive activities, worksheets, and sticker pages to track real-life Moon Tree visits around the U.S.

🌱 Why Moon Trees? Seeds that orbited the Moon in 1971 were planted back on Earth, creating a living legacy that connects Earth and space. And thanks to Artemis I, a new generation of Moon Trees is now growing, continuing that story!

This is not our first adventure together—Dee and I also created Explore Space A to Z, and she’s written several beloved children’s books including Weirdest Animals A to Z and the Skullie and Boop series.

Available now on Amazon, IngramSpark, and at your local bookstore.
